Wednesday 4th January 2012 As mentioned above, BMW is the one to go for. The M52 is a peach. Delightfully torquey with a (deceptively) smooth delivery. Would suit an auto why not a cabrio equivalent of the SAAB?307CC and Megane Cabrio = for girls. Wednesday 4th January 2012 g3org3y said: As mentioned above, BMW is the one to go for. Slow, thirsty, uncomfortable, camp, handle terribly, faulty (it will be faulty). Also the only thing more imasculating than driving one is having to take it to Renault to have a headlight or indicator bulb changed (which you will have to, about twice a week) unless you have the time and inclination to faff about doing it yourself (which you won't wnat to becuase you might break a nail, which will be a concern for you, becuase you'll own a Megane Cabrio).BMW all the way... Wednesday 4th January 2012 E46 convertible every had a brand new 206CC and it was the worst car we have ever typical French build quality but 10 times worse. I hated it so much we got rid after a year. Can't speak for the CC though... Build quality and electrical/mechanical reliability though, run for the fking hills! If the 307 is anything like our 308 I'd imagine you'll find the ride harsh, badly damped, the driving position an uncomfortable hybrid between VW Transporter and Golf, and the gearbox loose, indirect and lazy. Other than that, it's not a bad be looking for a 6-cylinder E46, a or 9-3 or a quattro Audi A4 Cabrio.
